JetLearn, the world’s first Web 3.0 online academy for K-12, raises €1.2 million in funding round to launch its platform in the UK

London, July 12, 2022, 9 a.m. GMT: JetLearn, the Amsterdam-based online academy that helps kids learn new-age tech skills including Web 3.0, AI (artificial intelligence) and robotics, announces it has raised $1.2 million euros in a funding round to enter the UK market. The oversubscribed round was led by INSEAD Angel Group, with participation from other notable angel investors including Humera Afzal, CFO of Soho House and formerly of Backed VC, and Ritu Narayan, founder of emerging unicorn Zum from Silicon Valley, backed by Sequoia and Softbank. . The investment demonstrates the real need to fill gaps in the school education system by preparing students with a foundation in new era technologies.

JetLearn was founded in early 2021 by Abhishek Bahl – the former European Managing Director of Silicon Valley AI scaling AutoGrid. As an INSEAD alumnus, he holds two patents in artificial intelligence and is a frequent guest lecturer at INSEAD. JetLearn’s platform gives children ages 6-16 a hyper-personalized learning experience and connects them with the top 1% of educators teaching Web 3.0, AI and robotics. Each child using the platform has their own personalized learning journey, powered by JetLearn’s own artificial intelligence technology and based on the learner’s starting level, learning pace and interests.

JetLearn democratizes access to computer-savvy educators through its technology platform, and JetLearn’s live learning model creates a powerful blend of learning, fun, and inspiration. After signing up for a monthly subscription, users can access educators for live online learning, supplemented with assignments and self-study projects. Subscribers can also access a global community of learners for collaborative learning, as well as workshops, webinars, and hackathons. High school students closer to college age can also connect with mentors from top Silicon Valley companies.

Abhishek Bahl, Founder of JetLearn, commented, “Schools prepare children for the jobs of today, not the jobs of tomorrow! Our platform fills this learning gap and provides school-aged children ages 6 and up with a foundation in new-age technologies. JetLearn’s accredited program is the world’s first and only Web 3.0 program for the K-12 segment. We already have a strong presence in several markets, and this funding will allow us to expand into the UK, accelerate the transition to delivering our Web 3.0 experiences and develop native metaverse content.

“It’s Netflix’s time for ed-tech in Europe, and JetLearn is one of the pioneers. INSEAD Angel Group is proud to partner with Abhishek’s team of passionate educators and operators and JetLearn as part of the mission to empower the next generation of creators,” said Daan Wilms Van Kersbergen, Chief Investment Officer and Coordinator of Netherlands-based INSEAD Angel Group.
