The Air Force Academy Sports Camps presented by Centura began last week and will continue for the next week and a half, ending June 22. This year marks the 42nd year of camps.
There are 22 camps offered for ages 8 to 18, along with five other elite camps. Session 1 ran from June 6-10, Session 2 from June 13-17 and Session 3 from June 20-22. More than 3,000 campers from all 50 states and several more from overseas will attend this year’s camps.
Air Force head coaches and their teams lead the camps and are assisted by some of the best coaches in Colorado and the nation. Similar to last year, Air Force Academy cadets are the cadre who interact daily with campers in support roles and serve as dorm counselors for campers who choose to attend camp as overnight boarders. .
In addition to the incredible partnership with Centura Health, the Academy is proud to welcome TrueSport back as a partner for the seventh consecutive year. TrueSport is a program powered by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), designed to positively impact and preserve the future of sports in America. AF Sports Camps will once again be officially recognized as a True Sport camp by USADA, which means that every camper will be exposed to the program and learn important lessons about what it means to be a True Sport athlete.
